What is difference between S&P Nasdaq?

The index covers the largest companies that trade on the New York Stock Exchange or Nasdaq Stock Market, weighted by market cap. First, there's the number of component stocks, 30 versus 500. The S&P is a much broader measure of the markets and captures a greater percentage of the U.S. economy.
